An Assessment to Evaluate Your Progress
the Monthly Assessment: evaluate and celebrate.
Celebrate your English progress!
Do you feel frustrated because you cannot see your progress in English? Do you have problems feeling motivated to learn and practice?
- You do not have a way to celebrate small wins in English?
- You do not have someone to help you to check the progress you have made.
It is easy to become lost in the big world of English learning.
Introducing the monthly English assessment.
What is it?
Assessment sometimes means a test. And sometimes “assessment” means to check something. The monthly English assessment is more than a test question to test your speaking. It is a way to check your general English skills and speaking ability. It is also a way to be more motivated.
You will receive a question that will ask you to practice the things you have been studying. You will record your answer, give yourself a score using the score sheet I will send, and then receive a score report from me.
How is it motivating?
In my research and experience, I have seen that students who learn how to check themselves are more aware of their progress and of how they can continue improving. They become part of the learning process. This is motivating because you are not only following rules, but you are helping to make the learning experience personal to you.
The assessment process is also motivating because when you learn to check yourself, you see more of your progress. When you can see your progress, you can celebrate it. Having something to celebrate motivates you to keep going forward.
Who needs it?
- English students who feel unfocused in their learning.
- English learners who do not see their progress in speaking correctly and confidently.
What will I get?
- 1 complicated assessment question to answer by recording.
- 1 score sheet to give your own score.
- Corrections based on your answer.
- Notes explaining each correction.
- Comments on what you did well during the assessment.
- 1 bonus challenge for extra points.
- 1 completed score sheet with the teacher’s score.
Don’t wait; assess and celebrate!
